I’m a bit of an eavesdropper, I must admit. But in my defense, it’s that trait that sometimes gets me a good scoop.

This, however, is NOT one of those cases …

At the Law and Justice Center where I sit in the lobby for nearly an hour most days perusing the Gallatin County Sheriff‘s logs for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle’s world-famous police reports, I have the opportunity to overhear all sorts of interesting tidbits.

One day awhile back, a police officer, chatting with a man who appeared to be making a report involving a computer scam, admitted he was, by choice, technologically-challenged.

“I can’t keep a girlfriend because I don’t know how to text,” the officer told the man.

I’m not sure if I should feel sorry for the guy or applaud his refusal to bow down to the tech gods.
